Burry Port Legion’s Adrian Hopkins made a fine 52 break to win his frame, but his side lost out 5-2 to visiting Llandybie Social in the Llanelli and District Snooker First Division.

Huw Morgan, Peter Howatson, Roger Morgan and Howard Wood struck for the Social.

Elsewhere, Morfa slipped to a 4-3 defeat at home to lowly Cross Hands B, and wins from Kieran Evans, Darrell Treharne and D Lonnegan edged a 4-3 win for Pontyberem at Upper Tumble Blues - Alan Samson, C Rees and C Cue replied.

Matchroom B posted a 5-2 win at Electric C while New Lodge A were beaten 5-2 at Llandybie RFC. Dylan Jones, Rhodri Treharne, Dar Sigsworth and Sion Issac struck for the latter.

Pontyberem Workmens defeated village neighbours Pont Cons A 4-3, courtesy of Duane Griffiths, Jonathan Ball and Keri Davies. Kyle Steins, Simon Williams and Gwyn Williams replied.

In Division Two, Llanelli Cons B suffered a 6-1 loss at Garnant Club, for whom Steve Lewis, Nick Davies, Lyn Hopkin and M Hopkin were winners.

Burry Port Reading Room Blues won 4-3 at Cons A while M Walters, Paul Crippin, Jamie Gimblett and Terrence Howells gave Penygroes RFC a useful 5-2 win against CGMD. Matthew Jones and Raymond Evans replied for the Glanaman side.

Electric B were beaten 5-2 at Matchroom A while Calsonic Rivals crashed 6-1 at Tycroes RFC A. Matthew Bromham, Martin Davies, Geoff Jones, Tim Lewis and Steve Francis all won for the latter.

Trimsaran A won 4-3 at Reading Room Reds.

Marcus Courtney, Andrew John, Roy Morgan and Terry Morgan gave New Lodge B a fine 5-2 win against leaders Snooker World B in Division Three. Andrew Whitfield and S Crump replied.

Great Mountain defeated neighbours Upper Tumble Reds thanks to S Lewis, Tomos Evans, James Bradley, Endaf Jones and B Enoch. Only J Williams’ frame win stopped the rot.

Mike Dodd, Jordan Davies and Tudor Lloyd gave Gorseinon Workmens a narrow 4-3 win at Cross Hands A, whose winning trio were Lyn Morgan, Hywel Pritchard and Matthew James.

David Lewis, Ness Palmer-Ides, Eric Stevens and N Davies gave Llandeilo Hall a 5-2 success over Tycroes RFC B, whose points were from Matthew Davies and Stuart Williams.

Elsewhere, Lee O’Neill, Alan Hiddlestone, Phil Evans and Hugh Williams earned Pont Cons B a 5-2 victory against Ponthenri Social. Howard Thomas and Craig Chandler were on song for the visitors.
