Struggling Llandybie Social A beat neighbours Llandybie RFC 5-2 in the Llanelli and District Snooker League first division with frame wins from Wyn Major, Karl Evans, Peter Howatson and Huw Morgan. Liam McGhee and Sion Isaac came out on top for the rugby club.

Alan Jones provided Snooker World A’s only point in a 6-1 loss at New Lodge A. Jonny Wilcox, Mike Wood, Phil Thickett, Lee Burder and Cliff Wilcox all won for Lodge.

Bryn (J Tudor 41 break) posted a 5-2 win against Pontarddulais Workmens, for whom Steve Dunn and Steve Davies won.

Meanwhile, Electric C were beaten 6-1 at lowly Cross Hands B, whose winning five were Richard Watts, Alex Dickie, Mark Davies, Mal Jones and Nigel Harris.

Similarly, only Jac Evans stopped the rot as Upper Tumble Blues lost 6-1 at Pont Cons A. For the Cons, Simon Williams starred with a 70 clearance break and was backed up with wins by Anthony Lewis (41), Gwyn Williams, Steve Doughton and Paul Doughton.

In one of the night’s top games, Burry Port Legion won 4-3 at Matchroom B while leaders Pontyberem Workmens won 5-2 against Morfa, thanks to Kieran Evans (36 break), Craig Rees(31), D Lonnegan and K Sellwood.

Electric B leapfrogged to the head of Division Two following a 5-2 victory over a man-short Tycroes RFC A. Dean Bromham and Geoff Jones were on top for the rugby club.

Reading Room Reds edged a 4-3 win at Llanelli Cons B and Calsonic Rivals posted a 5-2 success against bottom-side Penygroes RFC, whose frame-winners were Paul Crippin and Chris Waters.

CGMD claimed the Cwmamman bragging rights with a 6-1 win against Garnant Club after Jonathan Morgan, Dai King, Gary Phillips, Raymond Evans and Matthew Jones all won – only Steve Lewis was able to reply.

Wins from Julian Williams, Kristian Rees and Dai Porter gave Pont Cons C a fine 4-3 win at clear leaders Snooker World B in Division Three. S Crump, A Whitfield and Jac Evans won for the Ammanford side.

Gorseinon Workmens leapfrogged to second over Great Mountain after defeating the latter 6-1, courtesy of Julian Wilde, Mike Dodd, Darren Williams (46 break), Tudor Lloyd and Darren Thorne. Only Mark Martin’s win ensured the Mountain men escaped a whitewash.

Loughor crashed 7-0 at Upper Tumble Reds with K Evans, Chris Bishop, Mike Sainty, G Keaney, M Davies and John Williams completing the rout.

Meanwhile, Trimsaran edged a 4-3 victory against New Lodge B. T Morgan, G Langford and A John struck for the visitors.

All Division Three sides should note that Cross Hands C has withdrawn from the league.
