YSGOL Dyffryn Aman’s U15s girls rugby team has retained the Urdd title to claim their fifth win in a row.
The girls, who have only been training since January, played an excellent brand of rugby, scoring over 200 points and not conceding a single point in six games.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s sports and leisure officer Aled Parry said: "The girls have been amazing, their commitment and dedication since Christmas has been fantastic. They fully deserve to win the title."
The title is the latest in a line of successions for Ammanford girls and women’s rugby following the setting up of Ammanford RFC U18 team and the success of the Penybanc Panthers.
Ammanford U18s girls train every Wednesday at Ammanford Recreation Ground from 6pm to 7.30pm. All new players are welcome.
