Division Three West C
Llansawel 0 Betws 23
Betws narrowed the gap at the top of Division Three West C to a single point after running out comfortable winners at a windy Llansawel where conditions dictated much of the play.
Betws opened the scoring with a Daniel Griffiths penalty from the halfway line after Llansawel infringed on the kick off.
Outside-half Griffiths doubled the lead just minutes later with a second penalty.
On 25 minutes, second row Mark Rewston crossed for the first of his two tries to extend the visitors lead and Griffiths added the extras.
Griffiths notched another penalty before the break to take his side into the interval 16-0 up.
The second half was a different game with Betws, facing into the strong wind, adding only one try and conversion despite the hosts playing with two men in the bin.
With three games remaining Betws remain very much in the title chase and they entertain Furnace on March 28.?
