Division Two West Central
Brynaman 21 Cwmgors 13
Cwmgors came up short against near-neighbours Brynaman in an entertaining derby.
An early converted try gave the Greens the advantage before Steff Rees got the Cherries on the scoreboard with a penalty.
A second Brynaman try followed, but Cwm hit back before half-time when second row Richard Gregg crashed over under the posts. Rees added the conversion.
In the second half, Brynaman extended their lead with a brace of penalties before Rees reduced the arrears with his second penalty success.
A late dropped-goal from the hosts took the margin one point too many for Cwmgors to earn the valuable bonus point.
In a well-received and enjoyable derby played in good spirit by both sides, centre Ethan Price was excellent for Cwmgors, as was openside flanker Iwan Davies.
Cwmgors take an extended break for the Six Nations, before returning to action on March 28 when they host Maesteg.?
