Carmarthenshire League Division One

Llandeilo 2 Caerbryn 7

There was plenty of hype surrounding the build-up to the derby battle at the foot of Division One where Llandeilo entertained neighbours Caerbryn.

With both sides desperate to secure three points, it was the visitors who claimed the victory to enjoy a double over their hosts this season.

From the kick-off Caerbryn took full control of proceedings and within 20 minutes had romped to a three-goal lead courtesy of strikes from talented youngsters Steve Evans and Marco Bonandrini.

With the interval approaching, Llandeilo clawed their way back into the game thanks to a goal from Dafydd Thomas

After the break, Caerbryn raised their game and pinned the hosts in their own half, going on to score four more goals through Liam Jefferies and Keiran Jones.

Llandeilo hit back with a goal from Jason Smith but it was too little too late for the hosts.

The win takes Caerbryn six points clear of Llandeilo who are now propping up the Division One table.

Caerbryn next entertain Llanelli Steel while Llandeilo host Burry Port.
