Bryn Rovers 2 Ynysmeudwy Athletic 0

Bryn gained revenge for their heaviest recent defeat with a dominant performance at Cae Criced to secure a 2-0 win over Ynysmeudwy Athletic.

Bryn remained in charge throughout and gave the visitors little sight of goal – Athletic’s only effort of note coming from an 89th minute free-kick that fizzed over the bar.

After a deadlocked first half, Bryn scored just after the hour mark when Adam Campbell fired the hosts ahead following a brilliant run and pass by Mark Griffiths.

Campbell then turned provider, setting up the second for unlikely scorer Tom Hurley, who finished well.

Bryn, still smarting from the 4-1 defeat at Ynysmeudwy back in September, put in a fine all-round performance with Chris Eady in rampaging form as he tore the visitors’ midfield to shreds.

Dan MacMahon and Mark Griffiths also enjoyed great games for Bryn, who remain in second ahead of the festive break two points behind leaders Ynysygerwn with two games in hand.
