Llandybie RFC earned a fine 5-2 win at Snooker World A in the Llanelli and District Snooker League first division.

Dylan Jones, Mark Hughes, Keran Peregrine and Sion Isaac all came out on top for the rugby club while Andrew Williams and Alan Jones won for the Ammanford men.

Pontyberem Workmens’ earned another 6-1 victory to maintain their good form, Bryn their latest victims, after Kieran Evans, Craig Rees, Darryl Treharne, Wyn Davies and Alun Harris all won.

Burry Port Legion matched that result with a 6-1 success at Llanesco B while Electric C were beaten 5-2 at New Lodge A, whose frame-winners were Cliff Wilcox, Jonny Wilcox, Mike Wood and Lee Burder.

Mark Hughes, Joe Evans and C Rees edged a 4-3 win for Upper Tumble Blues at Matchroom B and Cross Hands B pipped Pontardulais Workmens’ 4-3 thanks to Mark Davies, Alex Dickie and Adrian Phillips. Adam Griffiths, Jonathan Ball and Danny Carr struck for Bont.

Morfa crashed 6-1 at Llandybie Social A, for whom Howard Wood, Roger Morgan, Huw Morgan, Peter Howatson and K Evans all contributed points.

In Division Two, CGMD were 5-2 winners against Matchroom A, courtesy of Alun Rees, Raymond Evans and Jonathan Thomas.

Garnant Club earned a fine 5-2 win at Burry Port Reading Room Reds, helped by wins from Lyn Hopkin, Keith Williams and Steve Lewis.

Llanelli Cons A won 4-3 at Electric B, while Cons B posted a 5-2 victory against Tycroes RFC A, whose winning duo were K Davies and Geoff Jones.

In Division Three, M Davies, Colin Jones and Clive Jones won for Tycroes B, beaten 4-3 by New Lodge B. Archie Davies, G Langford and Terry Morgan were on song for the New Lodge cuemen.

Meanwhile, Darren Thorne, Mike Dodd, Mike Davies, Tudor Lloyd and Julian Wilde gave Gorseinon Workmens’ a 6-1 win against Pont Cons C - just Tom Carey’s win stopped the rot.

In the big Cross Hands derby, Howell Pritchard, Matthew James and Roy Foster gave Cross Hands A the bragging rights with a tight 4-3 win against bottom side Cross Hands C, who hit back via Rob Kestin, Mark Jones and Jimmy Thomas.

J Williams, G Keaney and M Davies edged a 4-3 win for Upper Tumble Reds against Llandeilo Hall, whose points came from Eric Stevens, Dai Lewis and N Davies.

Robert Davey, Adrian Thomas, Alan Hiddlestone and Gary Thomas gave Pont Cons B a 5-2 success over Loughor, who replied through J Donald and Matthew Donald.

Ponthenri Social were aggregate 4-3 winners against Great Mountain, courtesy of Kevin Lewis, Rob Regola and Howard Thomas. Anthony Stephens, Mark Martin and Elton Rees hit back for the Tumble side.
