Second-placed Pontyberem sank to a 6-1 at Pontarddulais Workmens in the Llanelli and District Snooker League First Division as Steve Davies, Mike Footman, Jonny Ball and the Griffiths duo of Duane and Adam all came out on top.

Elsewhere, Howard Wood won for bottom side Llandybie Social A in a 6-1 reversal at Electric C while Llandybie RFC enjoyed a 5-2 success against Llanesco B, thanks to Rhodri Treharne, Dylan Jones, Richard Davies and Mark Hughes.

Burry Port Legion sit proudly at the top of the following a 4-3 victory against New Lodge A, for whom M Tucker (49 & 26), Mike Wood and Lee Burder won.

Matchroom B earned a fine 5-2 win at Morfa while Paul Doughton and Kyle Steins won for Pont Cons A - who slipped up again, 5-2 at Bryn & Trallwm. Meanwhile, Carwyn Cue, Alan Samson, Maurice Bakewell and C Rees helped Upper Tumble Blues see off Cross Hands B 5-2 with Alex Dickie and Adrian Phillips replying.

In Division Two, Stuart Dunn provided the only point for Garnant Club, beaten for the first time, 6-1 by visiting Trimsaran A.

Elsewhere, Raymond Evans, Wyn Llewelyn and Jonathan Thomas were on top for CGMD, edged out 4-3 at Tycroes RFC A. For the rugby club, Martin Davies, Geoff Jones and Tim Lewis came out on top.

The top two, Reading Room Blues and Electric B enjoyed free weeks, while at the other end, Matchroom A climbed several places after a 5-2 win against Calsonic Rivals.

Snooker World B saw their lead cut to 11 points at the top of Division Three where they endured a free week while second-placed Tycroes RFC B closed the gap with a 4-3 win against Pont Cons C.

Upper Tumble Blues are in third after an aggregate 4-3 success against bottom-side Cross Hands C, with Mark Martin, Thomos Evans and Endaf Jones winning. Martin Jones, Jimmy Thomas and Brian Jones hit back for the visitors.

B Evans, Mike Dodd and Julian Wilde gave Gorseinon Workmens’ a 5-2 win at a man-short Llandeilo Hall, whose frame-winners were Eric Stevens and N Davies.
