Ammanford U14s 27 Brynaman U14s 0

After the sides drew 5-5 earlier in the season, Ammanford continued their recent run of good form with a convincing win over their committed visitors.

Ammanford applied the early pressure and it was man of the match Sean Griffiths playing at emergency scrum-half that got the early breakthrough when he darted round the blindside to score in the corner.

Rhys Tench controlled the game from outside-half and his well-judged kick ahead was seized by wing Connor Evans who sprinted clear to the line.

It was Evans who set up their third try just before half-time when a kick out of defence was run back by full back Dean Slattery who fed Evans for a storming 25-metre run before finding hooker Olly Jenkins in support to score.

In the second half the Ammanford forwards worked tirelessly, with wing forward Rhys Roberts always in the thick of the action with another impressive performance.

The pressure told ten minutes into the half when after working their way into the opponents 22 the ball was spread wide to find Dan Slattery to enter the line at pace for a well worked try, which he also converted.

To their credit Brynaman battled to the end but a strike against the head at a short range scrum saw another forward drive with prop Dan Morris powering over for the final try in an impressive 27-0 win.
