The village bragging rights went to Llandybie RFC, who defeated neighbours Llandybie Social A 6-1 in the Llanelli Snooker League First Division, courtesy of Richard Davies, Liam McGhee, Kieran Peregrine, Mark Hughes and Sion Isaac. Only Roger Morgan won for the latter.

Elsewhere, Pontarddulais Workmens’ posted a thumping 7-0 victory in their clash against visiting Bryn and Trallwm. Matthew Jones, Steve Davies, Steve Dunn, Jonny Ball, Duane Griffiths and Adam Griffiths completed the rout.

Morfa dropped just one frame, to Pontyberem’s Alun Harries, in winning 6-1, while Matchroom B earned a narrow 4-3 win at Burry Port Legion. Electric C suffered a 6-1 loss at the hands of Cross Hands B. Nigel Harris, Adrian Phillips, Mark Davies, Dai Isaacs and Richard Watts all won for the visitors.

Jonny Wilcox, Lee Burder and Roy Wilcox edged a 4-3 win for New Lodge A at Snooker World A, who replied via Alan Jones, Andrew Williams and Leighton Davies

In a rather depleted second division, following the withdrawal of Llanesco A, after Llandybie Social B had already pulled out, Garnant Club earned the Cwmamman bragging rights with a 5-2 win against CGMD. Steve Lewis, Stuart Dunn and Lyn Hopkin were among their winners. Wyn Llewelyn and Raymond Evans won for the Fishing Club.

Jamie Gimblett (36 break), Chris Waters(30), Jeff Jones, Paul Garritty and Terrence Howells gave Penygroes RFC a fine 6-1 victory over Calsonic Rivals.

There was a 4-3 win for Llanelli Cons B at Burry Port Reading Room Reds and Tycroes RFC A defeated visiting Electric B 5-2.

In Division Three, Pont Cons C earned a belated first victory, 4-3 against Snooker World B, with wins from Julian Williams (46), Dai Porter and Tom Carey. Callum Jackson, Andrew Whitfield and Dafydd Lewis struck for the Ammanford side.

Elsewhere, Mark Jones and Gary Joshua were on the ball for Cross Hands C in a 5-2 reversal at Pontarddulais Cons B f for Bont, Gary Thomas, Hugh Williams, Alan Hiddlestone and Lee O’Neill (31) all won.

Tycroes RFC B won 5-2 at Cross Hands A, whereas Mike Dodd (65 & 32 breaks), Darren Thorne and Tudor Lloyd helped Gorseinon Workmens’ to a 4-3 success at Great Mountain. Endaf Jones, Thomas Evans and Anthony Stephens (36) came out on top for the Tumble men.

Upper Tumble Reds needed the aggregate to edge a 4-3 win at Loughor after wins from C Bishop, L Williams and G Keaney. Matthew Donald, Paul Barnfield and Dai Warlow won for the home side.

Trimsaran B were beaten 5-2 at New Lodge B, whose quartet of winners were Roy Morgan, Archie Davies, Billy Bachelor and Derek Morgan.
