Dinefwr ar Fro 6 Pembroke 0
Following last week’s heavy defeat, Dinefwr a’r Fro found their best form once again subjected visiting Pembroke to a mauling.
From the off Dinefwr set the pace and put the visitors under intense pressure as they tallied up a series of attacks before a cross from Georgie Jones in her first match found Kira Davies to scoop in the opening goal.
Davies further extended the Ammanford-based Dinefwr when a well-timed slip from Amy Brookes saw her claim a second goal within the first 10 minutes.
With well worked passages of play, Pembroke were able to find some gaps in the home defence and break through the home back line but it was to no avail as debutant goalkeeper Ayisha Fairclough made her presence felt, thwarting the visitors at every attempt.
A well-placed penalty corner saw defender and man-of-the-match Danielle Murray score a third to give the hosts a comfortable advantage just before the interval.
Minutes into the second half Dinefwr went further ahead when a trademark strike from Brookes leave the result in no doubt.
Despite the goal difference, Pembroke fought on and refused to give up as they blocked numerous attempts at goal.
