Nantgaredig 15 Penybanc 25
BANC headed to old rivals Nant looking to cement their place in the top 3 before the international break.
It started well for the visitors as Mathew Lloyd opened the scoring with a well struck penalty.
Playing into the wind, Lloyd and full back Wayne Williams pinned the corners well and from a lineout on the Nant five yard line, flanker Aled Danter charged down the clearance kick and grounded for a great try.
Lloyd added the extras before Nant kicked a penalty for a 10-3 Banc lead.
Shortly after there was a melee which resulted in a red card for Banc followed by a yellow card.
With 13 men , the signs were ominous but the Banc defence dug in with some big hits from lock Daniel Rees and got to half time with no change to the score.
In the second half Nant scored two tries to take the lead, but Banc refused to lie down and after a barnstorming run from Rhodri Jones, centre Mathew Brayley powered over.
Straight from kick off, Jones set off on a 30 metre run before offloading to Brayley who galloped in from 50 metres.
Banc once again went on the attack and veteran wing Christian Hughes went over for the winning try and an unlikely bonus point.
