Cain Morgan, Andrew Williams, Elwyn Lewis and Joshua Jordan earned Snooker World A a 5-2 opening night win over Upper Tumble Blues in the Llanelli Snooker First Division. Ian Tinnuche and C Rees were on song for the Blues.
Elsewhere, Paul Doughton (22 clearance), Simon Williams (33, 25 breaks) and Steve Doughton edged Pont Cons A home 4-3 at Llandybie Social A - Wyn Major, Lyndsey Pugh and Huw Morgan struck for the latter.
Electric C edged a 4-3 win at Burry Port Legion while Bryn were 5-2 winners at New Lodge A. Matchroom B won 4-3 against Pontyberem Workmens’, whose winning trio were Wyn Davies, Kevin Sellwood and Darryl Treharne.
Duane Griffiths, Steve Davies, Steve Dunn and Mike Footman steered Pontarddulais Workmens’ to a 5-2 win at Llanesco B while Dylan Jones provided Llandybie RFC’s sole resistance from a 6-1 reversal to Morfa.
In Division Two, G Davies, Dean Bromham, Matthew Bromham and Steve Francis earned Tycroes RFC A a 5-2 victory at Penygroes RFC, whose point-earners were Paul Crippin (45 break, 27 clearance) and Paul Garritty.
Garnant Club beat a man-short Matchroom A 5-2, thanks to Steve Lewis (29), Rhys Fisher and Lyn Hopkins.
Llanelli Cons B opened with an aggregate 4-3 win against Llanesco A, while Carway A, now playing out of Trimsaran, hammered Cons A 7-0. Similarly, Reading Room Reds whitewashed Llandybie Social B 7-0.
Reading Room Blues posted a 5-2 win at CGMD where Rhodri Llewelyn and Raymond Evans won for the Fishermen.
In Division Three, Dafydd Lewis, Jac Evans, Andrew Whitfield and Callum Jackson helped Snooker World B register a 5-2 win at Upper Tumble Reds, whose winning pair were Gerry Keaney and J Williams.
Elsewhere, Mark Martin, Thomos Evans and B Jones gave Great Mountain, Tumble, a 4-3 victory against Cross Hands A. For the latter, Howell Pritchard, R Griffiths and Gareth Jones were on the ball.
In the big Bont Derby, Pont Cons B beat Pont Cons C 6-1, with Gary Thomas, Lee O’Neill, Rob Davey, Alan Hiddlestone and Adrian Thomas on top - only Jamie Bishop stopped the rot.
Carway B won 6-1 at Cross Hands C with only Rob Kestin preventing the complete brush.
Ponthenri Social won 5-2 against New Lodge B after Alun James, Kev Lewis, Howard Thomas and C Howells had won. Lodge replied via Roy Morgan and Billy Bachelor.
