Ammanford Ladies continued their hard start to life in the West Wales Women’s League by facing last year’s league winners and runners up in a week.
Despite suffering a heavy defeat midweek to Landore, Ammanford made a positive start and could themselves unlucky to be three down at half-time to the reigning champions.
The visitors opener had came from an own-goal sliced into the roof of the home net, and they doubled their advantage minutes later with a well-worked goal.
Ammanford did come close to pulling a goal back when Yasmin Gutteridge broke clear deep to go one-on-one with the onrushing keeper only to see her finish roll inches wides.
The visitors added a third from the penalty spot after a clumsy challenge in the box.
The second half proved a niggly affair.
Ammanford started positively, but the Ferry defence proved difficult to break down and the hosts failed to find the crucial final ball.
Midway through the half, Ferry started to dominate and made their possession count with a glut of goals.
Despite the result, Ammanford showed definite signs of improvement with the whole team displaying a good work rate and attitude.
