Caerbryn 2 Llandeilo 1

Caerbryn continued their brilliant form in Carmarthenshire Division One as they saw off Llandeilo in a thrilling midweek encounter.

Llandeilo broke the deadlock with a strike from Alun Jones on 20 minutes and could have increased their lead but for a resilient Caerbryn defence.

The game changed after the interval when a cross from Sion Raymond found the head of Simon James who directed his effort into the top corner.

The hosts dominated from then on and passed the ball with ease as Dan Cook and David Roberts controlled the midfield.

With Caerbryn were on the front foot they were awarded a penalty in the last ten minutes which Roberts slotted past Llandeilo keeper Simon Rees to make it 2-1.

Caerbryn’s host Kidwelly on September 20 in the Senior Cup (KO 2pm).
