Seven Sisters 1 Bryn Rovers 2

Following defeat to Cwm Wanderers, Bryn got back to winning ways with a great performance away at former Welsh League outfit Seven Sisters.

The opening exchanges were all Bryn, but the Seven defenders stood firm to make life difficult for the visitors.

Dafydd Griffiths had his opposing player in knots within ten minutes as the hosts struggled to deal with the pace of the winger.

Carl Jones had a fine debut for Bryn and showed great energy levels, refusing to allow Seven’s defenders a moment’s peace.

The hosts took the lead after half-time when Bryn failed to deal with a free-kick and the Seven striker followed up to score past Dylan Thomas after a misjudged header by captain Chris Eady.

The setback was exactly what Bryn needed as they upped the tempo and took the game to their opponents.

With 25 minutes remaining, the introduction of Julian Jones proved pivotal as he volleyed home from the edge of the area to turn the tide.

With time running out, Bryn’s well-rehearsed corner routine saw the classy Peter Windsor flick the ball across the goal where Griffiths was on hand to finish past the keeper.

Eady at centre half and Carwyn Sheldon stood out for Rovers who now look forward to welcoming Ynystawe to Cae Criced.

Bryn also welcomed back veteran Rhodri Thomas at the weekend and are hopeful of another signing later this week
