Carmarthenshire League Reserve Division Two

Ammanford 10 Caerbryn 0

Following two 3-0 victories in the past week, Ammanford hosted Caerbryn in a local derby.

The game got off to a flying start with Caerbryn launching an early attack.

Ammanford countered and were 1-0 up inside two minutes as Elgan Griffiths supplied Nathan Chapman and the striker neatly tucked the ball away.

The rest of the first half saw Ammanford on the back-foot as the visitors took control of the midfield.

However, goalkeeper Hedd-Wyn Jones proved equal to any task while the defence of Lloyd Bevan, Jack Conway, Dylan Thomas and Scott Vobe laid a strong foundation for the hosts and the hosts remained a goal to the good at the interval.

The second half saw a complete reversal as the young Ammanford team reached new levels, particularly in midfield where Simon Pritchard, Kyle Wells and Liam Wolley provided the energy and set up Chapman’s second goal.

Dylan Thomas calmly slotted home a penalty to make it three soon after and suddently the game turned into a rout.

Ammanford rang the changes with Nathan Spowart, Josh Davies and Steffan Butler all coming on and adding to the score-line.

Lloyd Bevan scored the pick, firing a freekick past the Bryn keeper.

Kyle Wells made up for his quiet first half with four goals and setting up Butler for his first in the black and white.

Spowart provided a deserved goal for winger Jake Webb who finished calmly following a strong performance on the flank.

Ammanford travel to Pwll on Wednesday for another important clash.
