BIRDS ON THE WING: The latest results from the Amman Valley Pigeon Club.
Amman Valley Pigeon Club’s hard-working secretary Steve Evans claimed his just rewards in the latest race, flown from Swindon, on Saturday.
The expected arrival of Hurricane Bertha saw the race brought forward by 24 hours and Evans made the most of the change with his bird completing the 97-mile course in a steady two hours and 23 minutes to claim the red card.
Results:
1st: S Evans; 2nd: K Bryan; 3rd: DG Davies and son; 4th: DG Davies and son; 5th: DG Davies and son; 6th: K Bryan.
The race was sponsored by G Davies and Son, plumbing services.
