SWCA Seconds Division One
Ammanford 2nd XI (215) Aberdare 2nd XI (191)
Ammanford seconds moved up to second place in their league with an exciting win over Aberdare at the Park on Saturday.
Skipper Nathan Jones backed his decision to bat first with a fine 60, supported well by Harri Jones (37), Gareth Thomas (33) and Lloyd Bevan (24).
The rest of the team were less successful and Ammanford were all out for 215 with three overs to bat.
In reply Aberdare batted steadily and were looking well in control at 125 for four in the 34th over.
However, good spells from Rhys Price (1-18) in his first game and Harri Jones who took two wickets in his first over helped change the game.
With Aberdare poised to win, Jones and Andrew Jefferies took three wickets in the last four overs to secure victory with five balls to spare.
