Penybanc Panthers have announced the signing of a new forwards coach as the club looks to build on this season’s WRU Supercup Vase success.
Wales international Delyth Davies will take on the duties of developing the Panthers’ front eight.
Hooker Davies started her career in the back row so has plenty of experience and know-how from life in the pack.
She has played for Pontyclun, Neath and Cardiff Met – all in the Premiership as well as scooping regional honours with the Ospreys and the Dragons.
She was called up to the Wales side to face France in 2013 and is currently on the reserve list for this year’s World Cup squad.
Davies was also a member of the Wales Sevens squad throughout 2012 and 2013.
Originally form Ystradgynlaisd, Davies recently gained her degree in Sport Development from UWIC.
“The appointment of Delyth shows the commitment Penybanc has to progressing and developing their players,” said club coach Hywel Thomas.
“Delyth brings a wealth of experience to the club and will be a huge influence on our season come September.”
