Llandybie men claimed two huge wins in the South Wales Summer League.

They travelled to Bridgend in midweek and secured a comfortable 5-1 win as the pairings of Matthew Davies and Robert Smith, and Chris Gray and Rhodri James each secured two wins.

The pairing of Anthony Davies and Iwan Nicholas added the extra win.

The trip to Merthyr saw them earn a 6-3 victory with the pairing of captain Matthew Davies and Robert Smith winning three events while Aled Griffiths and Iwan Nicholas won two and the combination of Jonathan Thomas and Alex Wigley one.

The ladies team travelled to Swansea and lost their match 4-2.

Captain Chloe Alpine and Daphne Jones won two events while the pairings of Helen Morris and Margaret Lavery, and Tracey Alpine and Dorothy Singh were unsuccessful in their matches.

The men’s second team entertained Aberaeron, losing out 4-2.

Each of the pairings of Emyr Nicholas and John Lavery, and Chris Harris and Ian Evans won one event, while Nathan Thomas and Tim Chapman missed out.

The matches were supported by Hugh Lewis.

The next round of matches sees the ladies and the men’s second team host Haverfordwest while the men’s first team travel to Aberystwyth.

Ladies club night is on Tuesdays and men’s night is on Wednesdays. New members always welcome.
