Wheatsheaf 73 Cwmaman 66.5

Cwmaman’s bowlers travelled to Wheatsheaf in the Llanelli league looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat but found themselves pipped to victory by the hosts despite a battling performance.

The visitors found themselves up against it from the start when a lack of numbers ensured they could only muster three players on Rink Three.

However Dyfed Lewis marshalled his trio well and they were unfortunate to lose out 17-13.5 after the required points deduction.

Cwmaman’s highlight came on Rink Four where skip James Davies earned the visitors only points as his quartet ran away with a stunning 17-shot victory.

Rink scores:

Rink Three: D Mills, G Williams, D Lewis lost 17-13.5.

Rink Four: L Bray, A Leslie, A Thomas, J Davies won 28-11.

Rink Five: P Jones, S Hawker, A Morris, B Davies lost 18-14.

Rink Six: T Bray, J Williams, JS Jones, J Milbourne lost 27-11.

Cwmaman took two league points while Wheatsheaf claimed 12.
