South Wales Cricket Association T20
Ammanford were invited to take part, or rather on this showing make up the numbers, at the Premier League’s T20 competition at Mumbles on Sunday.
Former winners of the competition, Ammanford were well short of their best and were hammered by Mumbles in the first match by 55 runs.
Mumbles scored 156 for five despite Alun Evans’s 3-26.
At 16 for four, Ammanford were never in contention, and they closed on 101 for seven.
They fared little better in their second match against Sudbrook, scoring 94 for nine after a disastrous start which saw them lose three wickets for four runs.
Sudbrook strolled past the Ammanford score with three wickets and two overs to spare.
Ammanford are now able to concentrate solely on the league.
