Ammanford Girls u14ss maintain their place at the top of the league with a battling performance, which guaranteed them a title play-off and left them just one point away from securing the crown outright.

Llanybydder started brightly and brought some good saves from Ammanford keeper Lowri Williams.

Captain Ffion Morgan played with a calm authority throughout to the keep the visitors at bay, aided by the strong tackling of Celyn Lazenby and Megan Morris.

Ammanford began to dominate as the half wore on but the interval came with the scores level.

The early part of the second half was an even affair until an Aimee Heath corner midway through the half saw Chantel Mann lift the ball into the roof of the net.

A powerful strike from Mann was parried into the path of Louise Palmer who tapped home.

Ammanford saved their best until the last ten minutes of the match, when some excellent past ended with Nia Rees ghosting past two defenders before firing home the third.
