Carmarthenshire League Reserve Division Two

Caerbryn 0 Llandeilo Town 4

Llandeilo looked to keep their promotion dream alive with a very impressive win against bitter rivals Caerbryn.

Llandeilo went ahead early on when the impressive Jamie Woodall split the defence in two with a pinpoint pass for Tom McCarley, who cheekily rounded the keeper and slotted the ball into an empty net.

The signs were encouraging for Llandeilo as they looked to stamp their authority on the game and they could have gone two-up but Daniel Crayford pulled his shot wide of the post.

It wasn't all plain sailing for Town however as Caerbryn had a number of half chances only for a fine double save from keeper Neil Harris to ensure the visitors remained ahead at the interval.

Once again Llandeilo scored soon after the restart as Woodall’s great individual run resulted in a low drive to leave the keeper helpless.

Caerbryn upped their game but could not penetrate a well organised defence.

However, their hopes were dashed on 60 minutes when McCarley continued his impressive goal scoring form by capitalising on a defensive mistake and calmly slotted the ball home.

Llandeilo dominated the final stage with Ben Jones orchestrating the attacks down the right wing and he was rewarded for his hard work with the fourth goal.

Llandeilo were well worth their win with a great overall team performance and look to continue their great run of form away to Kidwelly this week.
