Division Five West

Pantyffynnon 25 Llangadog 20

Pantyffynnon got back on the winning trail with a fine win over high-flying Llangadog.

Panty started well enough but it was the visitors who got the first score.

However, the hosts hit back immediately through centre Rob Davies after good harassing work by Lee Griffiths.

The score was soon followed another as wing Lee Rees used all his muscle to race in from halfway, swatting away Llan defenders for a great individual try.

The second half again stated with the visitors scoring early after some sloppy home defending.

With the home scrum holding its own No8, Chris Davies was able to play off a solid platform as he, Lee Griffiths, Steve Downing and John McWilliams pinned Llan back.

For long periods in the second half, Panty camped out on the Llan line, and Stu Sutherland was on hand to drive over from a short-range line-out.

Two further Nick James penalties extended the lead before Llan scored late on, but Panty held on for a deserved victory.
