Drefach U12s 0 Saron U12s 7

Saron returned to league action with a trip to Drefach where, despite the sunny conditions, the difficult playing surface saw the visitors struggling to find their usual fluid passing game.

After an even start, the hosts looked dangerous on the break but Callum, Owen, Joseph and Ioan continued their good form for the visitors.

Aled opened the scoring after Jay’s deflected effort feel into his path. Dom doubled the advantage soon after with a smart finish to ensure Saron took a 2-0 lead into the break.

Jay then claimed a deserved goal after he had twice gone close only to be thwarted by the Drefach keeper.

Ashley managed to beat the bobbly pitch showing massive improvement, technique and confidence, he started several Saron moves with simple but effective passing.

Jack rattled in a second-half hat-trick, rounding off the day with a coolly-taken penalty.

Ethan had saved a Drefach penalty before making the most of a reshuffle that saw him move upfield by firing home a well-taken finish following a goalmouth scramble.

Saron now sit fourth in the league on equal points with Seaside but holding a game in hand, three points behind Llangennech with two games in hand.
