Llandybie tennis club’s ladies team have played their final fixtures in the South Wales Winter League season.
At home to Cowbridge they won the match by three events to one. Captain Chloe Alpine and Eryl Davies won their two events and the pairing of Helen Morris and Daphne Jones won one.
Away to Radyr, the match was drawn two events each. Chloe Alpine and Helen Morris won two events and the pairing of Helena Nicholas and Daphne Jones lost their two events.
On Sunday, at home to Usk, the fixture was won by Llandybie by three events to one.
The combination of Chloe Alpine and Daphne Jones won their two and the pairing of Helen Morris and Hazel won their one event.
Matches were supported by Hugh Lewis.
Llandybie ladies are guaranteed promotion to the second tier of the South Wales winter league and await the results of how Radyr ladies faired away to Bridgend to discover whether they will be promoted as league champions.
The summer season commences on the weekend ending May 4, with the ladies team at home to Swansea.
The men’s first team at home to Merthyr Tydfil and the men’s second at home to Rhondda.
Ladies club night is on Tuesday evenings and the men’s club night on Wednesday evenings. The club would welcome new members to join them, whatever their tennis ability.
