Cwm Wanderers enjoy a very successful weekend with all the club’s sides winning.

Cwm’s U8s beat Bryncoch 14-2 while the two U10s team beat Pontardawe 4-0 and Giants Grave 6-0 respectively.

The highlight of the weekend however was the U14s resounding 7-2 West Wales Cup quarter-final victory over Pembrokeshire’s Clarbeston Road.

Cwm had found themselves under the cosh in the early stages and went a goal behind inside 15 minutes, but recovered to take a 3-1 half-time lead with goals from the prolific Arwel Thomas, Cameron Jenkins and Daniel Davidson.

The hosts dominated second half and Thomas went onto to score another three - taking his season’s tally to 32. Tiaan Jones also got on the scoresheet in an excellent display from the youngsters who play the semi-final on Saturday.

The senior teams continued the good work with Firsts enjoying 3-1 win at neighbours Colbren courtesy of Alex Malgat and a brace from Adam Green. The win lifts them to second in Division One and on course for promotion.

Meanwhile, the Reserves won their Open Cup quarter-final home tie with Onllywn 2-1 with goals from Daniel Parry and youth team member Reece Haslett.

On Sunday, the youth completed a perfect weekend with a 7 -1 win over visiting Bryncoch with Adam Green and Jack Holland getting hat-tricks. Alex Williams also got a goal.
