Cwm Wanderers Reserves were the club’s only team to survive the weather at the weekend, playing reigning champions Bryn Rovers away in Neath League Reserve Division One.

Cwm took an early lead thanks to Daniel Chapman.

Things went from bad to worse for the hosts who found themselves reduced to ten men after 20 minutes when their keeper received a red card after bringing down Chapman as he ran free for goal.

This did not seem to be the advantage Cwm had hoped for as the youthful 10 men took the game to the Wanderers who had to battle to the end for the three points, eventually winning 3–2 with Chapman adding a second before an unfortunate own goal put paid to any home hopes of a comeback.
