Ammanford AFC again fell foul of the weather when they saw another of their Welsh League Division Two fixtures called off on Saturday.

Gruff Harrison’s men had been due to travel to Chepstow town.

Ammanford have now gone without a match since the 3-2 home defeat to Caerleon on January 25.

Weather permitting, Ammanford are scheduled to host fellow strugglers Newport YMCA on Saturday, 2pm kick off.

Ammanford look set to be at full strength for what could prove a key fixture with new additions midfielder Dayle Selvage, who has transferred from Garden Village, along with centre forward Ashley Richards keen to make an impression.

Ammanford currently sit fourth from bottom on 13 points after 17 games played while the YMCA side are second bottom on seven points after 18 played.

The squad also includes returning Ammanford stalwarts Luke Fayres and Mathew Fisher, who has transferred from Haverfordwest County, to give the club a massive boost in their bid to battle relegation.
