Llandybie 50 Fall Bay 10
Llandybie entertained second-bottom Fall Bay and extended their unbeaten league run to ten games.
The hosts were unlucky to lose centre Johnny Harris after five minutes with a twisted knee, replaced by Tracy Lewis.
After ten minutes’ forward pressure near the visitors’ line, flanker Justin Jones dived over.
Falls Bay fought back with a penalty, but Llandybie attacked again and from a 15-metre scrum, Luke Yelland forced his way over.
Bay had come to play however and scored a good converted try to give the hosts a fright.
From another 15-metre set-piece, scrum-half Yelland dummied his way over for his second try.
Second row Dai Lloyd then crashed over from five yards with Ben Featherstone adding the points before centre Tom Rees was able to charge down a kick and dive over unchallenged. Featherstone added the extras.
The second half saw Llandybie on the offensive again as hooker Rhys Cann took one against the head. From the resulting ruck Yelland put Rees in for his second try, converted by Featherstone.
Soon after fly half Robert Goodfellow squeezed through the narrowest of gaps to touch down. Featherstone again added the extras.
Llandybie saved the best till last and, with Bay tiring, they threw the ball wide. Featherstone joined the line and put Dafydd Nicholas clear.
With two players outside him, the winger threw two clever dummies to canter in under the posts, Featherstone converting.
