Seven Sisters 0 Ynysmeudwy Athletic 6
Ynysmeudwy’s second string travelled to Seven Sisters and came away clear winners thanks to a six-goal thumping of the hosts.
Athletic were 4-0 ahead before the interval arrived with goals from 16-year-old Griff Benton and Keiran Williams added to Calum Jones’ first half brace.
James comple4ted his hat-trick after the restart and James Fox added the sixth just before the final whistle to ensure a comfortable victory for the visitors.
The win ensures Athletic held on to second place and maintained the pressure on league leaders Giants Grave, who they face in their next league game on January 25.
Athletic’s Premier Division side saw their scheduled game against Cwm Wanderers in the Open Cup postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. They entertain neighbouring Ystradgynlais on Saturday (KO 2-30pm, players to meet at 1pm).
