Tycroes U14s 29 Llanelli Wanderers 17

In Tycroes` first home game since October, the Wanderers drew first blood to score from a turnover, but the hosts hit back after the backs combined well from the scrum to put Keenan Ware away in the corner. Cian Anderson converted to give Tycroes a 7-5 lead.

The hosts well-organised defence forced Wanderers to kick from deep, allowing Tycroes to attack through Ware whose excellent run saw him claim a second try and a 12-5 lead.

Tycroes conceded a soft penalty to allow Wanderers to reduce the arrears to 12-10, but reclaimed their advantage when Adam Thomas crossed under the posts and with Anderson converting for a 19-10 interval lead.

After the interval, Tycroes up their efforts and Thomas latched on to a pass from outside-half Adam Rowe to make it 24-10.

The Wanderers came more into the game late on, but with ten minutes remaining Thomas claimed his third touchdown.

With three minutes left on the clock, the Wanderers sneaked over but Tycroes remained in control until the final whistle.
