In one of the top games in Llanelli Snooker Division One, Llandybie RFC won 4-3 on aggregate at Llanesco B, courtesy of Liam McGhee, Sion Isaac and Mark Hughes.

Elsewhere, Paul Garritty was Penygroes RFC’s only frame-winner as his side crashed 6-1 at Snooker World A. Andrew Williams, Josh Jordan, Alan Jones, Shane Wright and Mike Woods won for the latter.

Steve Dunn, Jonathan Ball (27) and Duane Griffiths (29 and 22) gave Pontardulais Workmens a 4-3 victory against Morfa, and Legion Whites won 4-3 at Cross Hands B, whose frame-winners were Adrian Phillips, Jamie Gimblett and Alex Dickie.

Carwyn Cue, Maurice Bakewell and Alan Samson gave Upper Tumble Blues a narrow 4-3 win at Matchroom A. Meanwhile, Wyn Major, Peter Howatson and Huw Morgan were on top as Llandybie Social A defeated Matchroom B 4-3.

Electric C posted an aggregate 4-3 success at New Lodge A. Brian Webber, Marc John and Roy Wilcox struck for the home side.

In Division Two, Nigel Jones, Nigel Powney and Rhodri Llewelyn edged CGMD home 4-3 against visiting Tycroes RFC A. Martin Davies, Matthew Bromham and Christen Woodford won for the rugby club.

Bryn squeezed home 4-3 at Reading Room Blues while Carway A won 5-2 against Garnant Club - veteran duo Keith Williams and Lyn Hopkin won for Garnant.

Electric B edged a 4-3 win against lowly New Lodge B, who nicked the aggregate with Bill Bachelor and P Jones on top.

Pontyberem Workmens defeated Llanelli Cons B 6-1, thanks to Kevin Sellwood, Kieran Evans, Craig Rees, Wyn Davies and Alun Harris.

Llanelli Cons A sealed a 5-2 win against Gorseinon. Jordan Davies and Darren thorn won for the Brighton Road men.

In the third division, high-flying Calsonic Rivals slipped up 4-3 at Upper Tumble Reds. James Bradley, Chris Abbott and Kevin Evans won for Tumble.

Christian Rees, Geraint Thomas and Ian Lewis gave Pont Cons C the narrowest possible victory at Tycroes B - on a respotted black after the scores were tied. Steffan Davies, Scott Derbyshire and Arnallt Evans won for the unlucky RFC.

Ponthenri Social lost 5-2 to Llandybie Social B while Roy Foster, Lyn Morgan and Matthew James gave Cross Hands A the bragging rights after they beat Cross Hands C 4-3. Mike Rees, Jimmy Thomas and Gary Joshua replied.

Pont Cons B earned a convincing 6-1 win over Llandeilo Hall with Robert Davey, Jamie Bishop, Dai Porter, Hugh Williams and Adrian Thomas on to. Only Richard Friend’s point saved Llandeilo from the whitewash.

Loughor won 4-3 despite being a man short at Great Mountain. Matthew Donald, Dai Warlow, Mark Jones and Ryan Murray won while Alan Griffiths and H Parker were on song for the hosts.
