Division Five West

Pantyffynnon 12 Neyland 3

A wins a win as they say, but Panty will be kicking themselves for not getting a bonus point such was their possession and territorial domination.

Panty started well enough, only for the heavier visiting pack to up the tempo to bring their big boys onto the ball around the ruck area to leave the home defence battling to repel the onslaught.

Panty finally got hold of the ball and began playing some rugby as the turnaround approached only to waste at least two golden chances to cross the whitewash.

Two Nick James penalties gave a small advantage to the homesters at half-time.

Again Panty started the second half in control and continued to play all the rugby.

Again they created several scoring opportunities only for poor decision-making and poor skill levels to see them come to nought.

Panty did put some breathing space between them and the visitors as James kept up his 100 percent record with the boot by adding two more penalties.

Outstanding again for Panty was No8 Chris Davies.
