Elsewhere, New Lodge A ran out 5-2 winners at Llandybie RFC where Sion Isaac and Richard Davies won for the home side.

Cross Hands B beat Upper Tumble Blues 4-3 on aggregate, thanks to Jamie Gimblett (49 & 33 breaks), Alex Dickie and Adrian Phillips. Alan Samson, Nick Walters and Maurice Bakewell replied.

Burry Port Reading Room Reds now lead the table by seven points after a 6-1 win at Llanesco A.

Electric B posted a 5-2 victory at Llanelli Cons B while Carway A suffered a 6-1 reversal at Bryn.

Matthew Bromham was Tycroes RFC A’s solitary point-earner from a 6-1 loss to Llanelli Cons A.

Meanwhile, Kieran Evans, Darrell Treharne and Kevin Sellwood edged Pontyberem Workmens’ to a 4-3 win at Gorseinon Workmens. Tudor Lloyd, Darren Thorn and R Carruthers won for the Brighton Road men.

Up in the First Division meanwhile, leaders Pont Cons A slipped up 5-2 at Morfa despite wins from Anthony Lewis and Steve Doughton.

Llanesco B reduced the gap at the top with a 6-1 win at Penygroes RFC while bottom side Legion Whites edged a 4-3 win against Pontardulais Workmens. Duane Griffiths, Matthew Jones and Jonathan Ball won for the latter.

Matchroom B earned the bragging rights with a 5-2 win against Matchroom A and Electric C defeated Llandybie Social A 6-1 - only Roger Morgan’s frame-win stopped the rot.

In the third division, the shock of the night saw rock-bottom Loughor surprise second-placed Cross Hands C with a 6-1 victory courtesy of David Wall, Matthew Donald, Mark Jones, Sion Guard and Dai Warlow. Only Brian Jones replied.

Calsonic Rivals lead the table following a 5-2 victory against Ponthenri Social, for whom Jeff Howells and Kevin Lewis won.

Steve James, Matthew James, Arwyn Pritchard and Roy Foster (33) gave Cross Hands A their 4-3 success against Upper Tumble Reds, who hit back via Chris Abbott and Jay Mainwaring.

Snooker World B won 5-2 at Carway B with wins from Dafydd Lewis, Martin Pereira, Brendan Perry and Corey Gleaves.
