HANDOVER: Paul Rees, Wendy Evans, Lyn Morgans, Jean H Jones and Arwel Mathias at the handover of the cheque for £735 in aid of Cancer Research Wales.
A team of four fundraisers from Ammanford RFC have teamed up over the summer in support of Cancer Research Wales.
Paul Rees, Lyn Morgans, Arwel Mathias and Richard Williams raised a stunning £735 through a series of events in memory of the club’s loyal supporter Dai Morris, who lost his battle with the disease on October 30, 2012.
Dai was a dedicated Ammanford RFC fan and the club was determined to do something to honour his memory.
The amount raised, added to additional donation following Dai’s death, now means his family have raised well over £1,000 for a fantastic cause.
Last week, Paul, Lyn and Arwel were on hand to present Wendy Evans and Jean H jones with a cheque to add to Cancer Research Wales’ funds.
