Neath and District Reserve Division One
Bryn Rovers 3 Seven Sisters 2
Bryn were grateful to claim all three points as Seven Sisters did their utmost to thwart the hosts, thanks in the main to an inspired performance from the visitors’ goalkeeper.
Bryn had chances a-plenty to score early on, but it was Seven who took the lead – much to the shock of their hosts.
A fantastic Dave Hornsby header from the corner of the box was ruled offside and the Seven keeper thwarted Adam Campbell on four occasions as the visitors clung to their lead.
The second half saw Bryn step up their performance and, from a Darren Langford corner, Christian Jones fired home to level and take his tally to three goals in two games.
Seven took the lead for a second time when Dan Richards’ tackle saw the ball rebound beyond Bryn keeper Aled Thomas into the net with what was Sevens’ only shot of the second half.
Phil Eady drew Bryn level with a 25-yard strike after good work by Chris Jones and a late goal by Julian Wycherley finally secured the victory from an Eady cross.
