Jones discovers Welsh gold in Mediterranean sun.

Amman Valley Enduro rider Carl Jones claimed a gold medal as part of the Welsh A team at the 2013 International Six-Day event in Sardinia recently.
The 25-year-old thrived in the gruelling event which saw him spend six to seven hours a day in the saddle over the first five days of the event as the riders spent competed around the Port of Olbia on the Mediterranean island.
The final day was spent in a full-on motor-cross race.
The Ysgol Bro Dinefwr special needs PE teacher finished an impressive 41st overall out of 610 competitors and came in 15th in his 250cc class.
Jones’ contribution ensured the Welsh A team claimed overall gold.
Jones was keen to show his thanks for all those who had supported him during the build-up to the race.
