Reserves rise to see off Kidwelly

Carmarthenshire Reserve Division Two
Ammanford 4 Kidwelly 2
After last week’s defeat to Tumble, Ammanford made hard work of gaining three points at home.
The hosts eventually scored when a Lloyd Bevan free-kick was finished well by Jake Webb.
Ammanford snatched a second when Scott Vobe’s long-range effort slid under the body of the Kidwelly keeper.
Ammanford gained total control of the game early in the second half with Matt Warnes and Owain Jones dominating midfield and spreading play to Elgan Griffiths and Joe Kinsey on the flanks of the wide Rice Road pitch.
Jason Nel scored his first for the club after blasting past the keeper thanks to Warnes’ assist and Jones got the fourth when he prodded home after a Joe Kinsey strike rebounded off the crossbar.
Kidwelly refused to throw in the towel and clawed back two late consolation goals, but by then the game was beyond them.
Next Saturday Ammanford travel to Tumble in the Darch Cup for the sides’ third meeting this season.
