Junior Rugby Llandeilo
Llandeilo, under the captaincy of Arwel Lewis, fielded a strong unit against visitors Pontyberem at Cae William and, despite heavy conditions, rattled in three quick, well-taken touchdowns.
A brace from Tomos Davies and another by William Charles- Davies saw the hosts head into the interval 15-0 up.
From the restart Llandeilo took total control by scoring three further tries, one each for Charles-Davies and Davies, and another for Ben Evans.
Pontyberem upped their tempo but some resolute defending from the hosts kept them at bay – apart from one phase where the visitors broke through to score a consolation.
The Towyvalley side sawsome solid performances from Jac Beynon, Dyfan Roberts, Rhydian Tiddy, and Jannes Van Winden along with recruits Lewis Perkins and Trystan Llyr Davies.
Meanwhile, Reuben Williams returned from North Wales to play for Llandeilo. Llandeilo entertain St Clears on Sunday, February 24, (KO11am).
