Tregaron 26 Pantyffynnon 28

Division Six South West
PANTY travelled north after nine weeks without a game, but brushed off any rustiness to seal a memorable win and get their promotion hopes back on track.
However, they appeared still in festive mood at the whistle and gifted the homesters a soft opening try, but hit back immediately through an opportunist try by Emz Davies.
Tregaron responded with a penalty before a little bit of magic from fly-half John McWilliams, whose cross-field kick found wing Ashley Evans who raced home to score from 40 metres.
Half-time came with Panty trailing 18-14, but with the wind at their backs after the interval the visitors fancied themselves to pin the rather onedimensional home side back in their own half.
Panty flew out of the blocks from the restart and a cheeky try from a lineout by Matthew James and some sublime running saw Aaron Evans finish, giving the travelling army of fans hopes of a big score.
But how wrong they were as some poor tactical decisions, coupled with Tregaron’s never-say-die attitude, resulted in a grandstand finish.
The hosts hit back to within reach at 28-26 and were pushing for victory at the end, only for some heroic Panty defending to keep them at bay for a bonus point win for the visitors with kicker Nick James and his 100 percent record proving the difference between the sides.
