A solid 104 runs from Captain Neil Harries paved the way for a resounding Llandeilo victory against an experimental Kidwelly side at Cae William on Saturday. Choosing to bat first, Llandeilo reached 204 for one after 22 overs before declaring, with opener Dafydd Thomas notching up 70 runs without losing his wicket. In response, Kidwelly were all out for a disappointing 49 runs after only 21 overs.

Perez likely to be driving force at weekend rally

Seven a side outfit Carmarthen Warriors lost all three games at the second annual Manchester Sevens but could so easily have won all three, writes Huw S Thomas After reaching the semi-final of the Richmond Open and winning the Spoon event at the Bath Sevens, the Carmarthen-based side had high hopes of success in Manchester but lost very tight games against Kamikaze 24-17, Nigeria national side Stallions 29-18 and the Outlaws 32-28.
