Clwb Olew Ystradowen Fuel Club aims to save members money by bringing communities together to make the most of their joint buyingpowerso reducing the price of oil and passing the benefit onto members.
The club is open to households, businesses, sports clubs and community organisations.
The club is already helping people cut the cost of their domestic heating bills. Having just negotiated the four months oil purchase members have saved an average of just over 7.5p per litre.
This gives an average saving of £35.00 on 500 litres and £75.00 on a 1000 litres.
Members pay the same low price whether buying a 1000 litres or just ordering theminimum200 litres.
In 5 months since its launch the fuel club has already signed up 360 members in seven communities.
