The last meeting was held on October 29 at the Catholic hall, Llandovery. There was an excellent floral demonstration by Mrs Sue Thomas who made it all look so easy.
A discussion was held on the need for a ramp to be put outside some public buildings in town and the matter was deferred to another meeting. Arrangements were also made for several members of the club to go to the November meeting of COPPS in Carmarthen when Ruth Marks will be attending.
It was decided to have the Christmas lunch at the Castle Hotel on Wednesday, December 17 at 1pm. Membership fees will also be collected on the same day.
The November trip will be to the Christmas flower festival at St Woolas Cathedral, Newport or shopping day in Newport. Tickets for the show will be sold on the bus at £5 a ticket. Please note, this trip will be on Thursday, November 27, leaving at 8.30am usual pick up places.
The November meeting will be the AGM. Any member wishing to take a position on the committee will be very welcome.
