Would you like to make your home a safer place to live in? The Fire and Rescue Service is available to visit your home to provide you with free advice on home fire safety. They will be able to provide information on how to stay safe in case of fire. They will also check, replace and install smoke detectors and other equipment, including electric blankets, to make your home safer and all this absolutely free of charge. I personally would urge everyone to take advantage of this service especially with the extra risks of lit and decorated trees, hanging and other decorations, cards, paper and candles. The gentlemen of Llandeilo Fire Station came to visit me and were both courteous and helpful, so do call freephone 0800 389 9279 before you get embroiled in the myriad of Christmas preparations and celebrations.
