The speaker at the November meeting of the Club was Mr Henry Ferguson-Thomas of Llanwrda. Well known as a leading authority on tree fruit, his subject that evening was the ever popular cultivation of our numerous verities of apples. Answering the many questions put to him, he was warmly thanked by the chairman for the inspiration he had given to a most appreciative audience with the assurance that the Club would do all it could to promote such an important aid to the nation’s health, practical help being available wherever it was needed. The next meeting of the Club will be at the Civic Hall on Thursday, December 4.
