A meeting of the Llandeilo branch of senior citizens was held in the Civic hall, Llandeilo on Thursday, October 30.
There were 52 members present and in the absence of the chairlady the vice chairman Mr S Burke presided.
Arrangements for the annual dinner were finalized. It will be held at the White Hart hotel, Llandeilo on Thursday, November 27, 12.30pm for 1pm.
A whist drive will be held on the same evening at the St John’s hall at 7.30pm.
The guest speaker for the afternoon was Mr Williams of Llandeilo post office, who gave a very interesting talk of the changes in the role of post offices for which he was thanked by the vice chairman.
There will be no meeting in December, the next meeting will be on Thursday, January 29.
